Welcome to Anne Sheils Photography
A little about me
I have always been inspired by the arts and travel in particular visiting and absorbing different cultural and artistic places throughout the world. This has included travel to Israel, Kenya, Spain Italy and USA. In particular I have a strong artistic and professional interest in renaissance art & architecture. I have had great enjoyment in sampling these traditions and visiting various exhibitions and cultural sites including Ufizzi Gallery in Florence and Sistine Chapel as well as our great galleries and exhibitions nearer to home including Kelvingrove, Burrell and the National Museums in Edinburgh and London. This has all fed into my work and artistic style as a family photographer.
Where and How
In more recent times I have been involved in significant location photography work which has included Scottish Childrens Fashion Show at Surgeons Hall Edinburgh and many other specific location shoots at various interesting places including Pollok House, Brig O Doon and Bannockburn house. The historical and cultural significance of these locations has added an extra dimension to my photography work. I also enjoy studio work and taking photographs at specific locations I.e in the family home or at dance studio wherever is appropriate and best for the young person and their family/friends.
